Nawaz Sharif’s doctor and family claim they’re not given copies of his medical reports

Ousted prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s daughter and doctor have raised concerns after not being given copies of the medical board’s report of his case.

Dr Adnan Khan, chief executive of Sharif Medical City and Nawaz’s personal doctor recently took to his official Twitter account and posted the copies of letters sent to Punjab government officials  that sought the findings of the board.

The medical board report & recommendations in respect of former Prime Minister are not made available to Mr. Sharif’s family or myself.
Authorities have once again been requested in writing to provide a copy at the earliest to avoid risk to his deteriorating health.

He mentioned that neither Nawaz’s family nor he was granted the copies of report and that delays could lead to greater health risks for the deposed Premier.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif also wen to Twitter to say that Nawaz was ill and therefore taken to Punjab Institute of Cardiology but his family had not been enlightened about his medical reports.

I have been told that MNS is unwell & is being taken to PIC tomorrow but myself or the family have no knowledge of it. We still haven’t received the reports given by the medical boards. After pleading with the jail authorities, we have also written to the Home department.

The findings & recommendations of the high profile medical board which consulted former Prime Minister #NawazSharif on 16JAN2019 is still awaited & not shared with me or the family.
Health concerns demand an early action by the authorities.
Matter is of immense urgency !

Nawaz is currently serving his term in the Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore. He was sentenced to seven years in jail seven years imprisonment in the Al Azizia case. The Islamabad High Court is hearing his petition to suspend his punishment until the final verdict in his appeal challenging his conviction is pronounced.
