No Pakistani among those killed in a stampede in Karbala.

ISLAMABAD: The spokesperson of Foreign Office has said that there is no Pakistani among those who were killed due to stampede in (Karbala) Iraq on Tuesday.

Pakistani authorities are closely watching the situation at Karbala.

Earlier at least 31 people died in this incident and the number of causalities is increasing. In the recent history of Karbala, it is the most deadly stampede on the occasion of Ashura.

According to the spokesperson another incident happened at the shrine located around 100 Kilometers south of Baghdad city in which more than 100 people were injured due to stampede.

This happened when thousands of pilgrims from all around the world gathered at Karbala to commemorate the death of Hazrat Imam Hussain (RA), the grandson of Hazrat Mohammed (PBUH).
