Pak Army fully interested in regional peace & stability: COAS

Rawalpindi: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwaon Friday told that Pakistan Army was fully interested in maintaining peace and stability of the region.

“Pakistan Army is ready and resolute in defending the motherland against any misadventure,” army chief said while talking to army officers during a visit to an exercise area in Jhelum.

He also lauded the performance and vigilance of the high morale troops and their training standards.

General Qamar Javed Bajwa expressed that troops must focus on training and professional pursuits  as the hard exercises will help them reach highest standard of preparedness.

Army chief monitored the organized exercise of a Brigade in LOC Environment during the occasion.

The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), media wing of the army informed that exercises were aimed at creating battle conditions to help troops train in the realistic environment.

“Fire of various weapon systems including tanks, anti-tank weapons, multiple caliber artillery guns and PAF fighter jets were part of the exercise,” said the ISPR

On January 5, Pak-China jointly exercised troops training near Kharian, troops of special groups from Pakistan Army and People Liberation Army China took part in four-week long military exercise.
