Pakistan briefs FATF technical team over anti-terror measures

Pakistan authorities have submitted a reply to FATF’s regarding taking measures to stop terror finance in last 4 to 5 months.

Earlier on Monday 9th September 2019, the FATF’s Asia Pacific Group has scrutinized Pakistan’s report on supervision of the government and analysis against the outfits and persons who are concerned in the perpetrator of terror and financing.

The FATF’S Asia Pacific Group meeting with Pakistani Authorities will continue from 9th to 13th of September 2019 in Bangkok. The FATF’S team is led by Ms. Christine with 6 officials including five delegates from India.

Pakistan Minister for Foreign Affairs Hammad Azhar said the Pakistani delegation met the FATF team to brief about the recent progress of Pakistan in regards to stopping terror financing.

Hammad Azhar said that the Financial Action Task Force will now compose a report on our briefing and then FATF’S Asia Pacific Group will decide where to put on their monetary watch-list.
