It should be noted that earlier during a BBC interview , Afghan President Ashraf Ghani’s special envoy, Mohammad Omar Daudzai appreciated that Pakistan is playing a positive role in the Afghan peace talks.
He further said that Pakistan’s government and country’s institutions are on the same side, which is sufficiently suitable environment for holding talks on important key issues. Daudzai is currently in Islamabad on an official visit.
“I don’t want to get into the past, but in the present, there is much evidence that Pakistan is playing a positive role in Afghan peace talks,” said Daudzai.
He also admired that Pakistan’s behaviour towards Afghanistan has also been changed.
According to the Afghan delegation, no mention able talks have yet taken place between US and Taliban officials so far, which is why the have refused to talk to Afghan government.
