Pakistan Steel Mills removed from privatisation list

The cabinet’s Economic Coordination Committee approved to drop the government enterprise from privatisation list.

The cabinet’s Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) also decided to pay pending salaries of four months. the meeting was held on Wednesday and the privatisation plan was revised.

The government owned enterprise was removed from the list of companies that are to be privatised.

September salary was also approved. ECC also ordered and arranged salaries for another three months so employees donot wait for the next meeting. Rs 1 billion was employed in the category of employees salary.

Finance Minister Asad Umar chaired the ECC meeting and issued orders to prepare a plan to restructure the mills.
