Pakistan won 1st T20 in Lahore against Bangladesh


Pakistan achieved the target of 142 for the loss of 5 wickets, Shoaib Malik played an unbeaten 58-run inning in the 3-match series, and take 1-0 lead.

In the match at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium, Bangladesh scored 141 for 5 wickets in 20 over.

Tamim Iqbal, Bangladesh’s first-out player scored 39 runs. Litton Das was also dismissed for 12 runs while Mohammad Naeem was dismissed by Shadab Khan on 43 runs. Bangladesh captain Mahmoodullah was not out for 19 runs.

Pakistan’s Harris Rauf, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Shadab Khan took 1 wicket each while two players were run out.

Pakistan started inning with Captain Babar Azam and young batsman Ahsan Ali.

On the second ball of the first over, Captain Babar Azam returned to the pavilion without any run.

Pakistan’s 2nd wicket fell on a total score of 35 when Mohammad Hafeez was out for 17; Pakistan’s total was 35 at the time.

Ahsan Ali, who played the first Twenty20 International match, also came back to pavilion with 36 runs, after which Shoaib Malik played a responsible game.

Iftikhar Ahmed and Imad Wasim were dismissed for 16 and 6 runs respectively, but Shoaib Malik didn’t lose his wicket and play a major role in the win.

Shoaib Malik (58) and Mohammad Rizwan (5) were not out. Shafiul Islam took 2 wickets for Bangladesh.

Haris Rauf and Ahsan Ali made a debut in T20 international for Pakistan.
