Pakistani Taxi Drivers in Spain Started Free Pick and Drop Service for Medical Staff

The whole world is gripped with fear and uncertainty due to Coronavirus disease COVID-19. In this pandemic situation, Pakistani Taxi drivers in Barcelona (Spain) started free pick and drop service for medical staff. 

Spain is the 4th most-affected country in the world after USA, Italy and China. The country has recorded 72,248 confirmed cases of coronavirus with almost 6,529 deaths so far.

Pakistani renowned actress Nadia Jamil shared a video on her Twitter account in which a taxi driver is shown facilitating to medical staff. Later on, the driver introduced himself and said, “Pakistani people are always here to provide services in this situation, In 2007 when terrorists attacked in the country, we even then provided social services to people here.”

“Initially, it was just me and a few other Pakistani taxi drivers,” he said, adding: “But soon, we were joined by other drivers in the vicinity, and, now, the number has reached to 150 in just a few days who are providing free pick and drop service.”

28,377 people have died worldwide due to this deadly disease COVID-19 and 617,548 are confirmed cases in over 186 countries. While 137,336 patients have been recovered.

According to the World Health Organization (WHO) and health experts, only by adopting and social distancing and washing hands frequently, the world can fight the deadly virus.
