PCB ends Pakistan Super League immediately due to coronavirus

Lahore: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to ends the Pakistan Super League immediately.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed that the remaining matches of the Pakistan Super League are immediately postponed due to concerns over the Coronavirus.

The first match of the PSL semi-final was to be held in Lahore between Multan Sultans and Peshawar Zalmi today while the second match to be held between Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars.

The first semi-final was to be played at 2 pm and the second semi-final was scheduled to be played at 7 pm but today’s matches were postponed immediately while the final has also been postponed.

According to sources, a franchise is not ready to play after the return of foreign players, so the decision to end the event was made in the presence of PCB and franchise owners, while PCB informed the broadcasters.

Talking to NewsBox about the decision to terminate the Pakistan Super League, Shoaib Akhtar said that everywhere in the world has been locked down, events have been cancelled, PSL should have been cancelled a week ago.
