Plane carrying Cardiff City’s Sala disappears

Paris: The light aircraft went missing which carried a Cardiff City soccer player Emiliano Sala, the search continued on Tuesday since the plane disappeared somewhere.

Rescue Operation has started since the plane went off the radar, the rescue helicopters and boats are all scoured the seas off the Channel Islands and French police sources confirmed the 28-year-old Argentine was on board the single-engine Piper Malibu, the plane went missing Monday evening and so far there is no proper evidence that where did it go.

Sala connected himself to Premier League strugglers Cardiff City from FC Nantes last week for a club record fee of about 17 million euros (15 million pounds). He had been playing in France from past seven years.

Coastguards were informed by the Air traffic controllers around 20:23 GMT when the Aircraft gone missing from the radar with two people aboard it.

Helicopters and rescue officials were sent out for the huge search operation soon after the incident occurred, visibility deteriorated soon after the search operation began due to heavy wind blow.

“At this time no trace of the missing aircraft had been found,” Guernsey police said.

Sala’s father told local Argentine TV channel C5N: “I didn’t know anything because I’m away from home, I’m a truck driver. A friend who saw it on TV told me. I’m in despair. I pray that this ends well.”

Cardiff City Chairman also expressed his concern that they are eagerly waiting that good news comes and the disappeared airplane is recovered.

Cardiff took to Twitter and posted a video last week expressing message,“It gives me great pleasure and I can’t wait to start training, meet my new team mates and get down to work.”
