Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan has arrived in Turkey on Thursday on a two-day official visit on the invitation of the Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan .
Prime Minister was warmly welcomed by Konya Governor Cuneyit Orhan Toprak and Deputy Mayor Mithat at the Turkey airport on his arrival. After Imran Khan has assumed the office, it is his first visit to the friendly nation Turkey.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Finance Minister Asad Umar, Minister for Planning Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtyar and other state officials accompanied the prime minister during the visit.
This visit will assist Pakistan explores new opportunities for cooperation and collaboration between the two countries, especially in the areas of economic, Commerce and trade.
During the visit, Imran Khan will meet the Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss the wide horizon of bilateral relations amidst the present international situation.
The prime minister also paid visit the mausoleum of famous Sufi Muslim scholar Maulana Jalaluddin Rumi in Konya and offered Fateha.
The premier’s visit will further reinforce the cultural, economic and historical ties that the two governments share.
