Prime Minister Imran Khan called an important consultative meeting in an emergency, in which the situation in the Middle East and the political, economic situation of the country will be discussed.
According to sources, the senior leadership of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will be present along with the ministers in the meeting.
Sources said that the meeting will discuss the political and economic situation in the Middle East.
Sources also said that the meeting will also consult on the progress made so far in the Army Act Amendment Bill.
It should be noted that the Army Amendment Bill was to be tabled in the National Assembly and Senate on January 4, but then it was postponed till January 6 (today) and now still no progress has been made on it so far.
It is to be remembered that a joint meeting of the National Assembly and the Senate Standing Committee on Defense has approved the Army Act Amendment Bill, which was opposed by Senator Mushtaq Khan of Jamaat-e-Islami.
