PM Imran to appoint Fawad as his spokesperson


ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): Prime Minister Imran Khan has decided to appoint Minister of Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry as his spokesperson.

According to sources, the federal minister will serve as the Prime Minister Imran Khan’s spokesperson in addition to handling his science and technology portfolio.

Nadeem Afzal Chan, the current spokesperson who is also the Imran Khan’s special assistant on parliamentary management, wants to step down quoting his lack of ability to carry on holding the post.

The prime minister requested Fawad Chaudhry, a media matters expert, to switch Nadeem Afzal Chan.

The Prime Minister’s Office will issue a formal notice in a few days.

The sources further said that Babar Awan is likely to be chosen as a key adviser to the Prime Minister in the approaching changes in the federal cabinet.

Besides, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Media, Iftikhar Durrani has also been showing a lack of attentiveness in his role. He was sent to the ethnic areas for vote campaigning but was sidelined soon after the polls.
