PM Khan meets Turkish President Erdogan in Ankara

Ankara: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday.

Sources informed that both leaders discussed bilateral relations, international security and mutual interest ion the meeting.

PM Khan is on visit to Turkey on the invitation of the Turkish president. He was accompanied by a high level delegation that consisted of Minister for Foreign Affairs Shah Mahmood Qureshi, Minister for Finance Asad Umar, Minister for Planning Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtyar and other state officials.

Upon his arrival at the airport, he was warmly welcomed by the Konya Governer and Depoty Mayor Mithat at the airport.

This is the first visit of Khan to Turkey ever since he assumed the office.

He added that Pakistan convened a big housing project of five million houses and Turkish construction companies are welcome to invest in it. “Special Economic Zones are being developed with China under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) which is another great opportunity to explore.”
