Police confesses failure before court pertaining to tracing of 18 missing children

Karachi: The police confessed failure in regard with the recovery of 18 missing children before a bench of Sindh High Court (SHC) on Thursday..

A two-member bench, headed by Justice Naimatullah Phulpoto heard the case on Thursday regarding the missing children.

The court expressed its discontentment over the irresponsible behaviour and poor performance of the police.

The court bench has directed the police officials to recover the children as soon as possible.

Director Inspector General crime branch told the court that police was on the case and it acquired information about the whereabouts of a missing girl Asima, which is said to be in Balochistan.

The DIG told in the court that police department’s anti-human trafficking cell is working for recovery actively working to recover missing children.

The court also directed NADRA officials to give a complete record of the missing kids to FIA.

“Children are being reported missing but you people are resting in peace,” Justice K.K. Agha had remarked.

Director FIA and other officials are summoned in the next hearing relating to that case
