Islamabad: President Dr Arif Alvi awarded the Nishan-i-Imtiaz (Military) to the visiting Chief of the General Staff of Saudi Armed Forces, General Fayiadh Bin Hamed Bin Ragad Al-Rowaily during a special ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Tuesday.
While speaking to the ceremony, President Arif Alvi said that Pakistan gives huge importance to its friendly relations with Saudi Arabia. He wished to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries.
General Fayiadh Bin Hamed Bin Ragad Al-Rowaily held meeting with Dr. Arif Alvi after receiving the country’s highest Military award. He discussed the matters of mutual interest and the Saudi Arabia’s top military official showed gratitude to the president for the Pakistan.
Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, NI (M) and other military senior officers also attended the ceremony.
It should be noted that Pakistan and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia had made agreements to strengthen their socio-economic relations and bilateral ties between the Islamic countries on December 13.
Foreign office spokesperson told that President Dr. Arif Alvi met Saudi King Shah Salman and expressed contentment at the agreements signed between the two and thanked KSA official for their help at such hard time.
