ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday decided that people who are affected during a nationwide three-day riot should be compensated. The decision came out after Listening to innumerable requests.
A statement released from Prime Minister’s office said that comprehensive compensation plan to be drafted so the people who are vandalized during Tehreek e Labaik Pakistan (TLP) can be compensated.
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Noorul Haq Qadri hold meeting with Imran khan and told him about the successful dialogue and country’s social condition.
The imprisonment notice of rioters under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) of 19 rioters have been issued. 56 have been arrested and more than a dozen sent for Physical remand.
Moreover, around 70 rioters who did significant damage to people’s property have been taken into government custody from Sheikhupura.
In Karachi, cases poured in 34 police stations across the city against rioters. In Lahore, eight suspects are arrested and sent on two week long physical remand.
The Ministry of Interior previously setup a helpline for the citizens. this was to help government identify rioters by sharing pictures and video of the people involved in creating damage during protest.
