Punjab government extended winter holidays in schools


Education Minister of Punjab announced that Government schools will open in Punjab on January 13 and increased the winter holidays which are ended today.

Winter holidays have been increased in public schools across Punjab. According to the details, the holidays of Punjab government schools have been extended till January 12.

Education Minister Punjab Murad Raas says that holidays have been increased in schools across Punjab due to extream weather.

Schools across Punjab will be closed from tomorrow. Government institutions will reopen from January 13.

On the other hand, while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has demanded the government of Sindh to increase the vacation of public and private schools as well.

PTI leader Khurram Sher Zaman said that the winter holidays should be extended for two more weeks.

Khurram Sher Zaman has said that if children get pneumonia due to cold, who will be responsible? He added that the Department of Education would like to make the winter holidays every year appropriate to the season.

It should be noted that earlier Punjab Government has issued a notice in which the holidays were started from 23 December to 31 December, while educational activities at the institutions would resume on January 1 2020, after the holidays.
