15 people, including DSP Amanullah, were martyred and 12 injured in a blast in Satellite Town, Quetta.
Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Quetta Abdul Razzaq Cheema confirmed the death of 15 people, including DSP Amanullah. The blast also injured 12 people, he said.
According to police, the blast took place in a mosque in Ghousabad area of Satellite Town in which DSP Amanullah and 15 others were killed.
Police and other law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene after the blast, while rescue crews transported the injured to a trauma centre at the civil hospital where they are being provided medical assistance.
Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan condemned the Ghousabad bombing and expressed regret over the martyrdom of DSP Haji Amanullah and others.
He expressed his condolences to the relatives of the victims and directed the concerned authorities to provide better medical help to the injured.
It is to be noted that three days ago there was an explosion on Mackangi Road in Quetta which resulted in the death of 2 people and injured 14 others.
The Chief Minister directed to further tighten security arrangements in the city. Acting Governor Balochistan Abdul Quddus Bizenjo has also condemned the Quetta blast.
In addition, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar also condemned the Quetta blast.
