Karachi: The Pakistan Meteorological Department on Tuesday informed about more rainfall in upper and central parts of the country.
Pakistan Metrological Department’s today’s forecast tells that more rain is likely to occur in Malakand, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions, Islamabad, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan till Wednesday.
Places like Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, D.G.Khan, Kohat, Bannu, Karachi, Hyderabad and Mirpur Khas divisions that usually receive less rainfall are also likely to have a good proportion of rain today. Light to moderate showers are expected in Malakand, Hazara, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala divisions, Islamabad and Kashmir and more snowfall is likely to occur in the mountanious regions such as Malakand division (Swat, Chitral, Kalam, Malamjabba & upper Dir), Hazara division, Murree, Galliyat, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan during the period.
Met department said that a wave will be continued for another day in most areas of Pakistan and the weather will remain extremely cold.
Islamabad’s Golra received 44 millimeter rainfall, Saidpur 39mm, IIAP 37mm, Bokra 31mm, Z.P 27mm, while Murree received 38 mm rain, and Rawalpindi’s Chaklala 29mm, Shamsabad 28mm in last 24 hours, which is a good amount of rainfall in winters.
In Karachi, the University Road experienced 40mm rainfall, Phelwan Ghot 33mm, Landhi 31mm, A/P 19, PAF Masroor 18mm, Nazimabad 14mm, Shahrah e Faisal 12mm, Ghulshan e Hadid 10mm, North Karachi 07mm. Karachi has also experienced a good portion of rainfall during this winter and weather has been remained relatively chillier than previous year.
