Removal of five percent duty on news print, PM

Islamabad: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday said that government will soon solve many of its problems faced mainly because of its policies.

Talking to a delegation of representatives of Council of Newspapers Editors and Pakistan Broadcasters Association formed a delegation and had meeting with the PM. Imran said that the government wants to provide subsidy to the masses and long-due health and education sectors will be addressed.

Government is constantly struggling to improve its economy through the assistance of friendly countries  and change in policies.

Imran Khan said that Govt is a great advocate of freedom of expression and influence free media. He, however, added the media should also demonstrate responsibility and keep integrity.He also confessed that if media wouldn’t have been there, he wouldn’t have been here.

Demonstrating his full support for media he announced removal of five percent tax on news print. He additionally  said that the government is eager to support and uplift unnecessary duties.

During his meeting with the delegation of All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) on Tuesday,Imran vowed that he will bring up with the solutions for the problems of this industry.
