Reports over Kasur harrassment scandal revealed that authorities failed to find culprits

Islamabad: Federal Ombudsman’s report  revealed that the families of the rape victim children in Kasur harassment scandal were forced to withdraw their cases by the influential people.

The report revealed that the authorities’ failure in minimizing and controlling such incidents that involved full-fledged mafia and influential accused in children harassment and pornography.

Research report is further sent to president, the children who were abused physically belonged to the villages and remote areas and the people who were involved in scandals were authoritative and influential.

“Only few accused were sentenced in more than 272 registered cases of the child abuse in Kasur,” report revealed  and added that although the government pressurized to investigate but the influential people who were behind this heinous crime paid bribe to the police.

The report further reads that a center was built in Kasur with the intention to figure out the alarming increase in child abuse cases.

Report revealed that Punjab as the most dangerous province for children where nearly 1,089 cases of sexual violence occured out of the total 4,139 that are reported across the country.

It should be noted that Kasur sexual abuse scandal is series of child sexual abuse that occurred in outskirts of Kasur district in Hussain Khanwala  village from 2006 to 2014, and a major scandal surfaced in 2015.
