Russia decides not to use Iran and Iraq airspace


The Russian Federal Agency for Aviation decided not to use the airspace of Iran and Iraq.

Russian airlines have been instructed not to visit Iran, Arab countries including Iraq and the Gulf of Oman.

Russian airlines have been told not to operate transit flights to these areas.

It should be noted that on January 3, 2020, Iran’s most important commander, Major General Qasem Soleimani, was targeted by the US army near the airport in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, and his vehicle was hit by a drone in which Qasem Soleimani died.

After the death of Major General Qasem Soleimani, tensions between the United States and Iran have increased, and clouds of war are looming over the region.

Meanwhile, a Ukrainian passenger plane crashed in Iran today, killing all 176 people, including crew members.

Ukraine’s Boeing 737 aircraft crashed near Tehran, according to a foreign news agency.

According to Iran’s state news agency, the plane is believed to have crashed due to a technical error, but an investigation has been launched.
