Sadiq Sadiqi expressed concern over the ‘protocol’ given to the Taliban


The Afghan government has expressed concern over the ‘protocol’ given to the Afghan Taliban delegation on a visit to Pakistan, saying such visits could not prove beneficial for the Afghan peace process.


The Afghan Taliban delegation arrived in Pakistan on a four-day visit, where they held separate meetings with Prime Minister Imran and Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Wednesday.

Speaking at a press conference in Kabul on Thursday, Afghan Presidential Palace spokesman Sadiq Sadiqi said the Taliban is an “extremist” group and that such reception was a violation of diplomatic relations between countries.
