Sarfaraz likely to join squad against Bangladesh


PCB considering to add Sarfaraz in the national squad for the Twenty20 series against Bangladesh.

Asif Ali, Mohammad Irfan and Harris Sohail are likely to be dropped in the Twenty20 series against Bangladesh, while Shaheen Afridi, former captain Sarfraz Ahmed is likely to join the team.

Pakistan T20 squad to be announced tomorrow, a meeting between Chief Selector Misbah-ul-Haq and Captain Babar Azam conducting in this regard.

Three Twenty20 matches between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be played in Lahore on January 24, 25 and 27.

Several changes are likely to be made to the Pakistan Twenty20 squad for the three-match Twenty20 series against Bangladesh.

The Pakistan team played last Twenty20 match with Australia in which Pakistan faced a defeat, after which several changes are being made to the T20 squad. 

Former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed is also under consideration for the T20 squad as he has impressed the coaches in recent fitness tests.
