Sarfraz sets yet another wicket-keeping record at Johannesburg Test

Pakistan captain and wicket keeper Sarfraz Ahmed have surpassed Adam Gilchrist and MS Dhoni to have achieved the title of the most number of catches in a match.

The wicket-keeper batsman caught 10 catches in the third Test against South Africa at Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg. He took five catches in the first inning in the last test match and five in the second inning.

Previously notable cricketers had records of eight catches in a match and Pakistani wicket-keeper surprisingly surpassed all of them.

2014: MS Dhoni vs Australia (eight catches)

2004: Adam Gilchrist vs Sri Lanka (eight catches)

1998: Alec Stewart vs South Africa (eight catches)

Although, skipper did not manage to score big runs in the Test series set a record of highest number of catches behind the stumps.

On Tuesday, South Africa white-washed the Test series by winning the third and lest Test match that was played at Wanderers. They won was 107 runs.
