Saudi Arabia introduced the entry visa on Arrival facility more than once for all applicants having Pakistani, Indian and valid British, American or Schengen visas.
Gulf News reports that people with visas in Pakistan or those countries will be able to use this visa to perform Umrah also.
However, this visa will not be used to perform Hajj.
In order to get a one-year visa-on-arrival, travellers will need to have a valid credit card with them so that they can pay a visa fee equal to Rs 18,000 while cash will not be accepted.
In addition, citizens obtaining a visa-on-arrival will be able to stay in Saudi Arabia for a maximum of 90 days at a time, however, they may re-enter more than once.
The report cited the Saudi Airline reservation agent in Dubai as saying the service was launched last month.
“Anyone with a valid British, American or Schengen visa can get a Saudi Arabian visa, but this visa will be issued to applicants who have been, at least once travelled to the United States, UK or Schengen countries.”
Non-Muslims will not be able to travel to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina on this visa, while Muslims will be able to use this visa to perform Umrah.
It should be noted that in September 2019, Saudi Arabia announced that it was launching online tourist visas for the first time.
The Saudi government had also softened the rules regarding dress code for foreign women.
