Islamabad: The Supreme Court gave out the detailed order of the Asghar Khan case judgement.
Chief justice of Pakistan Mian Saqib Nisar led a two-member bench and heard the case on Jan 11.
According to order, the court has called defence secretary in person and urged him to submit a reply pertaining to the development in this case. “The defence secretary should inform the court about the action taken against army officers.”
The court expressed displeasure over the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) report and directed that reply should be in court within a week.
“FIA says that the case should not be pursued further because an investigation cannot be carried out against the accused persons but we think certain elements involved in the case should be investigated.”
The Supreme Court’s order told that according to DG FIA, the parameters of the investigation is limited. The court order further said that FIA did not conduct probing properly.
