SC Raises Questions Over Governance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Supreme Court of Pakistan

The Supreme Court of Pakistan raised questions over governance of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the province of Pakistan.

Justice Qazi Faez Isa, the Judge of SC asked, “how could the chief secretary take over the powers of the provincial government?”

Justice Qazi remarked, “the office of the special secretary has been created to please favourite officers.”

“It is the worst example of bad governance,” the Justice said.

“The Province is governed poorly because nobody is ready to take responsibility,” Justice Isa remarked.

“Is there any principle to run the government?” the bench of SC asked.

“No office can be created without amendment in the rules,” the Justice added.

Advocate General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa asked for more time from the court to end puzzles.

The Supreme court postponed the hearing of the case for 2 weeks.
