Shahid Afridi buys Mushfiqur Rahim’s bat for USD 20,000

Former Pakistan cricket captain Shahid Afridi has contributed to efforts to help the people of Bangladesh beyond the border barriers to deal with the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to media reports, Bangladesh’s star batsman and wicketkeeper Mushfiqur Rahim has put up his on auction that made first double century in 2013 against Sri Lanka in an effort to raise funds for the Covid-19 relief fund.

Shahid Afridi got Mushfiqur Rahim’s bat for USD 20,000.

Mushfiqur Rahim, who is in Dhaka, paid tribute to Shahid Afridi for cooperating for this great cause.

“I really appreciate Shahid Bhai for contacting me and offering to help,” he said.

“In this crisis, we are united across the border and we are expressing it to our country’s citizens,” said the Bangladeshi player.
