Islamabad: Opposition Leader of the National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif excused himself from chairing a meeting of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Thursday owing to severe backache.
Authentic sources informed that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) president will not be able to go to the Parliament for a Public Accounts Committee meeting, since his doctor strongly recommended him to rest because of his severe backache.
Doctors examined Shehbaz Sharif on January 2 and performed physiotherapy after Shehbaz complained about severe pain in his back and neck.
National Accountability Bureau (NAB) arrested Shehbaz in the Ashiana Housing Scheme last year on October 6 because he was charged of corruption in Ashiana Housing Scheme.
Shehbaz was elected Chairman of the PAC in a meeting on Dec 21, 2018. The PAC unanimously elected Shehbaz as its chairman after the months of the new government. Although several PTI politicians criticized his appointment on the top-post.
