Karachi: Syed Sardar Shah, Education Minister of Sindh has warned all private schools across the province to reduce their tuition fees as per the order of the Supreme Court.
While addressing to the media in Karachi, the minister warned that he will conduct raids in all the private institutions in “Anil Kapoor-style”, if they do not go along the directives of the apex court.
In the December 13 court hearing it was ordered to all private schools to reduce fee by 20% whose monthly fee is above 5,000.
The Chief Justice also announced that there will be a certain percentage by which the school fee will apprise every year and Private schools will have to abide by it.“If anyone attempts to close down the school, they will be charged with contempt of court,” he added.
On Jan 4, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Saqib Nisar re-stated that the directions given by the Supreme Court for 20 percent reduction in monthly fee of students, will apply on all private schools across Pakistan.
