Sindh educational institutes will remain open on Iqbal day

Karachi: The provincial government clarified on Thursday that all educational institutes will remain open on Iqbal day.

In contrary to the earlier reports that said educational institutes will remain closed on November 2018. The Sindh government has announced that educational institutes will stay open according to their routine.

The notification added, that Sindh government has notified there will be no holiday on Iqbal day.

The Ministry of Interior also told that November 9, Iqbal Day, has been declared a working day. And they also told that media is reporting the holiday without confirmation.

A spokesperson of the ministry said, “No notification has been issued by the Interior Ministry in this regard.”

Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Afridi said, “Vision of Naya Pakistan is to work 24/7.”He remarked this during a session in national assembly.

Iqbal Day is celebrated across Pakistan on November 9 in the remembrance of Pakistan’s national poet, who threw the idea of nationality and separate homeland.
