Sindh High Court has allowed a judicial inquiry of Nimrita’s case

KARACHI: Sindh High Court has allowed a judicial inquiry of Dr. Nimrita case.

According to sources, the Sindh government had written a letter to Sessions Judge Larkana for judicial inquiry on the death of Dr. Nimrita, on which the Sessions Judge sought permission of the Judicial Inquiry from the Chief Justice Sindh High Court.

On the other hand, a case has not been registered by Nimrita’s father and brother Vishal till now, but consultation with the higher authorities is underway to register the FIR in the case.

The SSP said that 40 people, including senior professors and students from both the hostels, have been investigated, while Mehran Abro and Shan Ali Memon, Class Fellows of Nimrita, are still in custody.
