The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) showed a positive trend on the first day of the year 2020 and the KSE 100 Index closed at 41,400 points after a rise of about 664 points.
The market saw a positive trend since the start of the business, with the index crossing the highest level of 41 thousand 544 points near the end of the day.
On the first day of the year, PSX had a total turnover of 23 million 80 lakhs shares worth Rs 6 billion 22 crores.
Similarly, shares of 344 companies were traded, of which 254 shares value were increased, 75 were reduced and 15 were observed to be stable.
It may be recalled that the stock market had witnessed a bearish trend last month and one day the market was even down by 948 points.
On the other hand, December 23, the market was also in a bearish trend and the KSE 100 Index fell 40000,8 points after falling 824 points.
