Karachi: The law enforcement agency claimed to have arrested at least eight suspects, including three Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L) activists, during raids in different areas of the city.
Rangers spokesperson, three suspects who belonged to MQM-L had been arrested from Supermarket area of Karachi. It was told that suspects were involved in street crimes, robberies and drug peddling. They were identified as Naseem Akhtar, Habibullah and Haider.
Rangers official also told that five other suspects were also arrested during the raids in Baldia Town and Ittehad Town. Journalists were told that suspects were allegedly involved in street crimes and keeping illegal weapons in their custody. Narcotics, valuable possession were recovered from their custody.
Before this nine criminals were also taken into police custody and one of them was a worker of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London (MQM-L). He was arrested during the raid conducted by Pakistan Rangers Sindh in various parts of Karachi on January 5,
Ranger’s spokesperson told that these criminals were thieves and were the part of major robberies and cyber-crimes. Drugs, weapons, illegal stuff and valuable possessions were recovered from his custody.
