Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan to address joint session of Parliament Today

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will have 4th address to a joint session of Pakistani parliament today.

One-on-one meeting with Prime Minister Imran Khan is also scheduled of Turkish President.

Erdoğan has previously addressed the Pakistani parliament as President while he has also addressed the parliament as Prime Minister twice.

According to NewsBox, Erdoğan addressed the joint session of Parliament on October 26, 2009, and May 21, 2012, as Prime Minister. He was addressed as a President on November 17, 2017, for the first time.

Speaking of Turkish President in diplomatic and political circles is of utmost importance. His address to Parliament is considered a love affair with Pakistan and everlasting friendship.

According to NewsBox, Turkey’s President Kenan Evren addressed the joint session of Pakistan’s parliament on November 15, 1985, before President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

Turkey and Pakistan’s relations with each other are based on interdependent relations of Islam, brotherhood, equality, brotherhood, culture and history.

Other foreign figures have also addressed the Parliament, the Senate and the Constituent Assembly of Pakistan.

Iran’s Emperor Mohammad Raza Pahlavi has the honour of addressing Pakistan’s first Constituent Assembly, which he addressed on March 15, 1950.

Philippine President Devdas Mika Pagal addressed the National Assembly of Pakistan on July 15, 1962, and Indonesian President Dr Ahmed Saikarno addressed the National Assembly on June 26, 1963.

Sri Lankan Prime Minister Bandra Naikke addressed a joint session of parliament on September 5, 1974. On November 15, 1985, Palestinian President Yasser Arafat addressed the National Assembly on June 15, 1989, by Turkish President Kenan Avern.

French President Francis Matrand addresses the National Assembly February 20, 1990. Speaker Majlis-e-Shura Islamic Council of Iran Hajjat-ul-Islam Mehdi Kirubi addressed the National Assembly February 24, 1991.

Iranian President Ali Akbar Hashmi Rafsanjani addressed a joint session of parliament on September 7, 1992. Speaker Majlis-e-Shura Islamic Council of Iran, Hajjat-e-Islam and Muslim-Muslim Ali Akbar Naate Noori addressed the National Assembly April 11, 1994.





Chinese Prime Minister Jiang Zhiman addressed a special meeting of the Senate on December 2, 1996. Queen Elizabeth II addressed a joint session of Parliament on October 8, 1997.

Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao addressed a joint session of parliament on November 19, 2010. Chinese Prime Minister Li Ke Cheng addressed a special meeting of the Senate of Pakistan on May 13, 2013.

Chinese President Xi Jung Ping addresses a joint session of parliament on April 21, 2015. Indonesian President Jokwido honoured to address a joint session of parliament on January 26, 2018.

Now Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will address today to a joint session of Pakistan’s National Assembly.
