Two more infants die in Mithi due to malnutrition.

Tharparkar: Two infants died at Civil hospital Mithi, in Sindh’s district of Tharparkar on Friday. Doctors said that due to chronic malnutrition the health problems sprang up and killed the children.


The health of children in Thar is not improving despite relief measures. T Sindh Government was requested by Chief Justice to provide people with adequate food and appropriate health facilities.

The total number of deaths has reached 560 so far, If the govt doesn’t respond in time the death too may continue to rise.

The chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the co-chairman Asif Ali zardari of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had taken the notice initially.  But no noticeable improvement was seen.

PPP has provincial government in Sindh and they have failed to cater the people of Thar. Although they tried to distribute grocery bags and send fodder for the animals in the region but the problem persisted.

Earlier this year Chief Justice of Pakistan took suo -moto notice of the death of an infant and directed Sindh government to monitor situation in drought-hit district.
