Urban plan to be devised for under-developed areas of Punjab

Lahore: Hashim Jawan Bakht Punjab’s provincial Minister for Finance has asked the Urban Unit to propose a sustainable development plan after discussion with local people for underdeveloped areas of the Punjab.

While chairing the second meeting of “Yaksaan Punjab Program” at Urban Development Unit Hashim Jawan Bakht urged to give five year Urban plan of the Punjab.

Minister clearly told that selection of any development project in remote areas depend on the need and requirement of the place and its feasibility.

The meeting stressed on Rahim Yar Khan master plan, World Bank’s jobs, cities planning and Punjab urban development strategy.

Dr. Salman Shah, senior economist and consultant Punjab spatial strategy stressed on the need of proper use of CPEC.

Urban Unit acting CEO Salman Javed, COO (acting) Abid Hussaini also attended the meeting along with senior team of the unit
