US members of Congress are calling to lift sanctions on Iran

32 US members of Congress have demanded to lift sanctions on Iran.

According to US media, the Opposition Democrats have written a letter to the US Secretary of State and Finance, along with other members of the Presidential Representative, and leading Senator Bernie Sanders.

Members of Congress have called on the US government that stricter sanctions hinder efforts to tackle the spread of the Coronavirus in Iran, so those sanctions should be lifted.

Members of Congress in their letter said that the US dispute with Iran should not be a hindrance to help innocent people upset by the Corona epidemic.

The letter added that the US government should resolve the direct support of the Iranian people so that the Iranian people can fight the Coronavirus.

Earlier, Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan and the UN have also called for lifting sanctions on Iran.

Iran is ranked seventh in the list of Coronavirus infected countries worldwide.

The number of victims in Iran has exceeded 47,000 and the death toll has exceeded 3,000, while foreign media have also expressed concern that the actual number of victims and casualties maybe even higher.
