The US has agreed to unconditional talks to ease the growing tensions with Iran.
The tensions between the two countries have escalated following a US drone strike in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad on January 3, which cause the death of Irani Major General Qasem Soleimani.
Leaders of both countries are making shocking statements against each other, while most countries, including the UN and Pakistan, are pushing for dialogue.
US President Donald Trump yesterday confirmed the Iranian attacks on US bases in Iraq during a press conference, announcing tougher economic sanctions on Iran.
Donald Trump says US troops have not suffered any casualties in the Iranian attack; Iran is retreating, which is good for the world.
He added that America is ready for peace if Iran wants.
In a letter to the Security Council by US Representative Kelly Craft in the United Nations, said that General Soleimani was killed in defence, and further action would be taken to protect US troops and assets if needed in the future.
Kelly Craft added that the United States is willing to negotiate unconditional talks with Iran for peace and stability in the region.
