US rocket attack on Baghdad airport; 8 killed including Iranian general Qasem Soleimani


Baghdad: 8 people, including Iranian general Qasem Soleimani, were killed in rocket attacks by the US at the airport Of Baghdad.

The rocket attack also killed the deputy commander of the Iranian-backed Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF). Iraqi officials said that 3 rockets fired at Baghdad airport fell near cargo hall, 2 cars also caught fire in the rocket attack.

According to Arab TV, rockets destroyed the vehicles bringing in key guests, the helicopters were seen flying in the atmosphere before the rocket attack.

According to the British media, General Qasem Soleimani played a key role in the Iranian government. His Quds Force is only answerable to Iranian supreme leader Ayatullah Khamenei and he is considered a hero in the country.

On the other hand, after confirming the attack on Qasem Soleimani, US President Donald Trump tweeted the American flag, while the Pentagon also confirmed the death of General Suleimani in the US attack.

Iranian Foreign Minister Jawad Zarif has said that the assassination of Qasem Soleimani by the US is an extremely dangerous move and that the United States will bear responsibility for all the consequences of its monstrous adventures.
