WB delegation meets Aleem Khan, water supply, sanitation projects discussed

Lahore: A World Bank (WB) delegation, headed by Michal Hani, called on Punjab Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan on Thursday.

Water supply, sanitation, solid waste collection and its management and other issues were came under discussion during the meeting conducted.

Aleem Khan while apprising the WB delegation about new local body system in Punjab said that federal govt is coming up with 50-year master plan of almost all the big cities.

No proper drainage and water supply is present in most of the rural areas of the Punjab the reason is obviously the lack of planning and carelessness of the government, said Aleem Khan.

Minister said that new waste-to-energy projects would be introduced and added that 720 pilot projects for the rural areas will also be initiated.

The water filtration project of the province ill also be recognized and properly implemented.

Punjab Senior Minister Abdul Aleem Khan, on December 16 promised to initiate large-scale development  projects across the province on immediate basis.

Talking to journalists at Punjab secretariat, Aleem Khan expressed that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government  would soon bring put new projects for the welfare and prosperity of the people.
