Karachi: Cold and dry weather is likely in most parts of the country while partly cloudy in upper Punjab on Tuesday (today), says Pakistan Meteorological Department.
Pakistan Meteorological Department told that cold air has prevailed in most areas of the country, western wave is likely to bring more snowfall and cold weather in the northern areas of Pakistan.
However, it was predicted that light rain along with snowfall is expected in Malakand division, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan while foggy conditions are highly likely at the plain areas of Punjab and lower Sindh in the night hours.
It further told that this pattern will be experienced for next day also i.e. Wednesday.
In last 24 hours, the weather remained very cold in various parts of the country, snowfall hit the northern areas where the temperature went below 0°C.
Yesterday, Skardu experience the lowest temperature in Pakistan that was -15°C in Skardu, followed by Astore and Kalam where temperature was -12°C. Gupis also experienced extremely cold weather with temperature as low as -08°C while the temperature in Bagrote and Hunza was -07°C, Malamjabba, Parachinar, Dir, Quetta and Kalat -05°C, Muree and Rawalakot -04°C, Chitral, Gilgit, Kakul and Drosh -03°C, Lower Dir -02, Mirkhani, Dalbandin, Garhi duppata, Balakot and Risalpur -01°C.
