Wedding halls next-as anti-encroachment in Karachi is in full swing.

As a part of the anti- encroachment drive Supreme Court has ordered the illegal wedding halls to be demolished in Karachi.

Supreme Court has directed Karachi administration to demolish wedding halls near old Sabzi Mundi and Kala Pull.

The meeting was chaired by Justice Gulzar Ahmad at Supreme Court Karachi registry on Friday. Where it was discussed that illegal halls to be targeted next.

He commented that not a single inch of State land to be used by people illegally.

During 2017 encroachment drive, the Karachi authority held a drive to demolish the illegal wedding marquees. At that time around 50 halls be bulldozed that included that Lalazar in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, and Sara Lawn, situated on University Road.

This drive was launched against land mafias in Karachi.

Justice Gulzar Ahmed is looking in the case of  the anti-encroachment drive. He regularly visits Karachi and gathers weekly report of the drive conducted.

He directed authorities to build public parks in the city. The buildings around Zamzama Park will also be demolished.
