Welcome to the party: DG ISPR send message to new Indian Army Chief

Rawalpindi: DG ISPR General Asif Ghafoor sent a message to the new Indian Army Chief after India’s Army Chief statement about Pakistan.

In a tweet from his personal account on social networking website Twitter, Major-General said, “Welcome to the party. We expect better sense prevails after the change remembering the experience of 27 Feb 2019. 2020 is the year of Pakistan and continuity of beginning of the end somewhere everywhere.”

He also used hashtags of Kashmir is Pakistan and Pakistan Zindabad.

It may be recalled that the new Army Chief of India, Lt. Manoj Mukund Naravane, took charge on 31 December 2019, after the retirement of Army Chief General Bipin Rawat.

In his first interview to the media after taking over as India’s 28th Army Chief on December 31, General Naravane said, “Terrorism is a problem for the whole world. India favours eliminating terrorism from its root, many countries are being affected by terrorism, in which the whole world is beginning to understand the dangers of terrorism.”

India’s new Army Chief General Manoj Mukund Naravane has warned Pakistan in a strong tone that India reserves its right to advance surgical strikes to target terrorist bases across the border.
