ISLAMABAD: An accountability court has ruled on a request to former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for providing facilities in jail.
Islamabad Accountability Court Judge Mohammad Bashir heard a petition filed against former Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi for providing facilities in jail. The petition requested that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi be kept in jail on the basis of unsatisfactory nature. The former PM should be allowed to keep air conditioner, television, tea Cattle, toaster, oven, and other facilities.
The court ruled after hearing the lawyer’s arguments on the petition and said that the facilities provided to Asif Zardari in the jail should also be given to Shahid Khaqan Abbas. It is pertinent to mention here that Shahid Khaqan Abbasi is in the custody of the NAB in the LNG case which the court has sent to jail on judicial remand.
