Why is Deepika Padukone’s name trending worldwide, including in Pakistan?

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone’s name has been trending on Twitter, not only in India but also worldwide.

The actress arrived in Jawaharlal Nehru University in India last night where she condemned the Indian extremist organizations torture of university students.

It should be noted that several Bollywood personalities have expressed strong sympathy for the university students and teachers who were injured in the attack by Indian extremist on January 5 at the famous Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi.

It should be noted that the union of the students who were injured in the attack were attacked by the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), which is the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) student union.

Many Bollywood personalities including Sonam Kapoor, Swara Bhaskar, Diya Mirza and Alia have raised their voice against the Indian citizenship bill.

Many eminent personalities of Pakistan also praised Deepika Padukone for her actions.

Sanam Baloch praised Deepika and wrote that on her twitter account that ‘violence must be condemned’.

Reham Khan wrote that “Deepika has proved that she is the most unique of the rest”.

On the other hand, activists of the extremist Indian organization also appeared on Twitter, demanding that people must boycott Deepika Padukone’s movie ‘Chhapaak‘.

It is to be remembered that the protest against the controversial citizenship law in India has been going on for the past several weeks.
