Canberra: Pakistan beat West Indies by 8 wickets in their opening match of the Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup.
West Indies batted first and scored 124 for seven in 20 overs.
In response, Pakistan Women showed excellent batting and achieved the desired target in the second ball of the 19th over with a loss of just 2 wickets.
Pakistani opener Javeria Khan scored 32 off 28 balls while Muniba Ali scored 25 off 26 balls.
Captain Bisma Maroof scored 38 while Nida Dar remained unbeaten on 18, while West Indies’s Effie Fletcher and Stephanie Taylor took one wicket each.
